The cacti found in the Sonoran Desert around Phoenix offer some of the most unique opportunities for photography. They come in a variety of forms from the small flat pad "Bunny Ear" to the stately and gigantic Saguaro. The flowers on them are usually found during March and April and turn to cactus "fruit" in May and June. Being a mid-west boy, I was amazed to see the color and variety in the otherwise dry landscape that defines the desert. Most of these images were taken on walks about within the Phoenix Metro area.
